Analogue has announced when it will be shipping the Analogue Pocket for Group A pre-orders. The retro gaming handheld is still available to pre-order for US$219.99, but new orders will not arrive until next year.
In December, Analogue announced that it would begin accepting pre-orders for its Pocket handheld again, which still retails for US$219.99 on the company’s website. Now, it has confirmed that it will begin shipping last year’s pre-orders, starting the last week of March. In a blog post, the company explains that people can cancel their orders or change their addresses until March 13 at the latest.
As expected, Analogue will only ship pre-orders that fall within ‘Group A’. In comparison, Analogue will not fulfil Group B pre-orders until Q4 2022. Based on the timing of Group A’s release, we imagine that Q4 2022 means in late December, possibly after Christmas. Additionally, any new pre-orders will be honoured in fulfilment Group C, scheduled for sometime in 2023.
Currently, Analogue limits to Pocket orders per person. Each unit ships with a USB Type-C cable, but you must purchase other accessories separately. For reference, Analogue sells a US$99.99 dock, a hard case and adapters for Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx and TurboGrafx-16 cartridges, among other accessories. You can find more details about the Analogue Pocket on the company’s product page.
