Best New Games Coming in July 2022 – Man of Many

Everything is going swimmingly, and then someone like me comes along and points out that we’re already in the second half of 2022! So, where does the time go? It will be tough for the best new games in July 2022 to outdo the previous month, as June hosted multiple gaming showcases and saw the new PS Plus subscription launch to compete with Game Pass. From Resident Evil: Village VR to the incredible Final Fantasy XVI trailer, June left us with big shoes to fill, but we’ll give it our best shot: This month packs a racing simulator, a new tennis title, a pair of highly anticipated JRPGs and a cyberpunk game where you play as a stray cat. We’ll take a closer look at these and share a calendar with dates for every noteworthy game.

1. F1 2022

Strap in for a new era of racing simulator. F1 2022 is the official game of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship. The new season brings redesigned cars and overhauled rules for an authentic racing experience.

F1 2022 features all 20 drivers and 10 teams from the current season along with licenced tracks, including the all-new Miami International Autodrome. Race as familiar faces or create a team and take them to the front of the grid with new depth in the acclaimed ten-year career mode. Unlock and show off your cars, clothing and accessories along the path to glory.

A new AI system helps ease new players into the experience without isolating esports professionals, while new broadcast options make for more immersive race sequences.

Race head-to-head in split-screen with a friend or take to the track online to compete against players across the globe. The PC version of F1 2022 even supports VR so that you can feel the drama from inside the cockpit.

2. Stray

Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a decaying cyberpunk city.

Stray is a third-person cat adventure set amidst the neon-lit alleyways and the murky underbelly of a futuristic cityscape. You roam the city high and low, defending against dangerous creatures with your cat-like reflexes, meeting curious droids and solving puzzles along the way. Be stealthy and nimble in what looks set to be one of, if not the most heartwarming games of 2022.

Stray is included in July’s PS Plus lineup at no additional cost.

3. Xenoblade Chronicles 3

The third entry in the acclaimed series, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 presents a vast world in turmoil. The nations of Keves and Angus are at war. Six soldiers hailing from both sides join forces to learn the truth behind their conflict, setting their sights on Swordmarch, a land pierced by a giant sword.

Fighting in turn-based combat, you’ll need to use each soldier’s strengths to your advantage, considering their position relative to the enemy. In addition, characters you befriend on your adventure can also join you in battle, further increasing your strategic capabilities.
